FCPRA Resources for Parents
ARE YOU A PARENT LOOKING FOR CHILD CARE?
Choosing child care for your child is one of the most important decisions you will have to make as a parent. Some questions to ask yourself in your search for high quality care are:
1) Is this a safe environment for my child?
2) How many children are in the provider’s care?
3) Will the provider be able to meet my child’s needs while in their care?
4) Does the provider’s child care fit my needs?
5) Do I feel comfortable leaving my most valuable possession with this provider?
6) Am I responsible for my own back-up care?
7) Is the home clean and are the toys in good condition?
8) Does the provider stay current on childcare trainings?
9) Are meals and snacks provided?
10) Are there structured and free time activities?
Taking the time to meet with many Childcare Providers will help parents find the best provider to meet their needs. Don’t be discouraged if you meet with someone and they are not a right fit for you and your family. FCPRA highly encourages all parents to call any of the providers listed to discuss your child care needs.
