Play to Learn Child Care offers a high quality, center like program that provides children with opportunities for intellectual, emotional, social, artistic and physical development in the warmth of a home setting. We are located on a quiet street in South Grafton. We have a large yard full of outdoor toys (such as a swingset, ride-on toys and more). We have a large, brightly lit walk-out basement where most of the daycare activities take place – but we also use the rest of the house for other activities like baking in the kitchen or riding ride-on toys in the garage when the weather is not cooperating. My program incorporates Music, Dancing, Exercise, Sports, Science, Arts and Crafts, Reading and Poetry, Circle time, Multi-cultural activities, free play, dramatic play, among others. We also introduce children to the computer when appropriate. I use the Hooked on Phonics program when appropriate. I have a Master’s Degree in Education. Before I started Play to Learn Child Care, I worked for 8 years as an evaluator of education programs including Head Start. I have been licensed since 2002 and have been loving it. Hours are normally 7:30 – 5:30 but am flexible to work with your schedule CPR and First Aid Certified Exciting Monthly Curricula such as Medieval month, Orchestra and Classical Music Month, Egyptian Month Yearly shows where children perform for the parents. Shows include dancing, singing and a play. Regular progress reports with portfolios Frequent education field trips (all inclusive in the fees). We have gone to the Roger Williams Zoo, the Worcester Art Museum, The Higgins Armory Museum, The Ecotarium, Strawberry, Blueberry, Apple and Peach Picking, and trips to various playgrounds. Member of the Family Childcare Providers Resource Association Exceeds required professional development requirements of the EEC Member of the Bay State Child Care Food Program. Nutritious meals included in fees. I provide Breakfast, Hot Lunch. Hot Dinner and two snacks and formula (for infants under 1 year old) - all included in fees.
